Most people want to live at home independently as long as possible. Unfortunately, that is not always a reality. Too many people have trouble taking care of themselves (and their homes) properly.
Lucky for you, we offer the best in-home care so that you can continue to live at home longer. Here are some of our in-home companionship and personal care services that we offer.
Specific to your needs. Our caregivers will go over your wants and needs to help you come up with a plan that will work for you. Each client that we work with has his or her customized plan to give them the care that they need.
Even if you or your loved just need someone to sit with them while they are doing crafts that stimulate their brain cells, like quilting, we can arrange that for you.
Personal care services. We offer basic personal care services which often include bathing, grooming, and general hygiene. Many seniors want to look their best and they just need a little assistance in doing so.
Though many seniors enjoy baths and how they feel afterward, it can be quite awkward to get help, even from family. Our caregivers are trained to make the experience go as smoothly as possible.
Toileting and Incontinence Care. As seniors age, they may struggle to go to the bathroom. They may suffer from accidents and need to be cleaned up. They may also just struggle to get to and from the toilet. Again, this process can be embarrassing, and our caregivers will do whatever they can to make everything go smoothly.
Laundry. Laundry can become hard for seniors, especially if their washer and dryer are on a different level of their home. Our caregivers would be glad to help with laundry, whether they do it in your home (or take it to a facility). They can also help with ironing, folding, and put the clothes away.
Light housekeeping. Though most seniors want to continue to try to take care of their home, the truth is that it can quickly get ahead of them. For this reason, our interactive caregivers would be happy to help with some light cleaning. They can clean the kitchen and the bathroom, as well as do some dusting and vacuuming.
Medication reminders. Most seniors are on several medications for all of their ailments. For some, this can be very hard to keep track of. Some just need a caregiver to come to them to make sure that they are taking their medication every day (and the right way)!
Twenty-four-hour care. There are times when a person needs someone to stay with them all day and night. It can be hard on the family, and most people are not going to be able to give up their home life to move in with their family member. For this reason, we offer twenty-four-hour care. When this happens, we have several caregivers work around the clock to ensure that you are not left alone!
If you are struggling with living independently, there is nothing wrong with getting a little help. It may even allow you to live at home for another few months (or even years). Whether you just need someone to take you grocery shopping or you need someone to help you get a bath every day, we are here for you!
You can get as little or as much help as you need. Before your care starts, we will sit down with you to discuss your wants and needs. Then, we can come up with a plan that will work for everyone.
Always remember that things change. Anytime that you need more (or less) help, don't hesitate to let us know. We just want you to enjoy this time in your life!
